OLA Family Referral Program

Our Lady of the Assumption School would like to announce that it is embarking on a multifaceted Marketing and Enrollment Campaign designed to promote the transformative, faith-based educational experience of our school to prospective parents in the communities we serve. While a good idea in even a robust economic environment, this enrollment initiative is a proactive response to declining enrollments affecting every private educational institution, including ours. It includes an Advertising Campaign, a Series of Open Houses, and a Parent Referral Program. Because the proven, most reliable form of advertising is "word of mouth," YOU PLAY A KEY ROLE IN THE SUCCESS OF THIS CAMPAIGN!

Parents, teachers, students and staff participated in the first Open House of the new school year on August 14, 2011. The inquiries and visits were very encouraging. The Open House was supported by coordinated advertising in local newspapers serving Peabody, Lynn, Saugus and Lynnfield. Future Open Houses are scheduled for Sunday, November 20 and Sunday, January 29, 2012.

Over the years, parents have been the best "advertisers" of OLA because you have witnessed, first-hand, the spiritual growth and academic achievement of your own children. We hope that you will continue, or in some cases begin, to share your excitement and enthusiasm for OLA with others. To that end, we are pleased to introduce a Family Referral Program. Current OLA families will be eligible to receive a $500 tuition credit for the 2012-2013 school year for each new student who enrolls (in K-8) as a result of a referral. Faculty and staff who refer students are also eligible to participate. Details and conditions of the program are available by clicking here.

OLA greatly appreciates the steadfast support of our school families who not only invest financially in their children's education, but who also volunteer countless hours in faithful service to the OLA school. Your commitment and dedication to OLA is truly humbling.

Respectfully,

Fr. Jack Farrell, Pastor

Updates

Dear Parent or Guardian,

Our school is participating in a recycling fundraiser by collecting used cell phones and empty print cartridges to raise money for OLA.

Unlike other fundraising projects, there is nothing to buy. This recycling program is a safe, simple and easy way to raise money and help the environment at the same time by reducing the amount of non-biodegradable waste in our landfills.

Did you know:

  • Over 100 million cell phones will be thrown out this year alone;
  • Printer cartridges create over 1.9 billion pounds of non-biodegradable waste; and
  • One cell phone can pollute up to 34.9 gallons of water?

Can we count on your help? It's easy!

Please collect used cell phones and empty inkjet print cartridges, laser toner, copier toner, fax toner and multi-functional printer cartridges from your home, work, co-workers and neighbors. Send them to school with your child. Collection boxes are located in the school office.

If you have cell phones to donate, please erase all data. But don't worry—as an extra security measure, the recycling company will double check to make sure all data is deleted.

There is no cost to our school to participate in this recycling program, so 100% of the proceeds will benefit OLA.

Our goal is to ship out our first collection of cell phones and cartridges in November so could you please help us out?

This is going to be a great way for our school to raise money and help the environment.

Thank you for your continued participation.
