Extended Day Program
The Our Lady of the Assumption Extended Day Program was created primarily for all families who need care for their child/children, before or after school in a safe and caring environment. The Extended Day Program follows the school calendar and is available when school is in session full day, unless otherwise noted.
If you are interested in participating in the Extended Day Program, please complete and return the Registration form and Monthly Calendar indicating which day you plan to have your child attend. Students in the Extended Day Program follow the same rules and regulations outlined in the School Handbook.
Before School
The Before School Program begins at 6:45 a.m. until 7:15 a.m. This program is based in the school cafeteria and students enter through the back cafeteria doors and is staffed by our teachers.
Cost: $5 for one child and $3 for siblings (3rd/4th child free)
After School
The After School Program provides activities for the students including indoor and outdoor play, as well as homework time. Our professional staff will provide your child with after school day care, Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. A snack and drink are provided each day. This program is also offered on an as-needed basis.
After snack, children will have play time. Weather permitting, the children will play outside in the rectory school yard on Grove St. OR on the playground behind the St. Francis Center. During inclement weather, children will play in the cafeteria or in classrooms of the teachers supervising that day. Look for signs on the front door to direct you as to where to pick up your child/children.
At 4:00 p.m. the group will move to the St. Francis Center Library for homework time. Computer and Library time is offered after homework is completed. Please call the St. Francis Center after 4:00 p.m. if you will be late picking up your child(ren). The telephone number for the St. Francis Center is (781) 599-2078.
Cost: $8.50 per hour for the first child, $7.00 per hour for additional children attending the same day. Payment is made through SMART Tuition. You will not be charged if your child is absent.
