The Annual Fund

Dear Parents, Alumni and Friends,

OLA School celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2011. Since our founding in 1961, OLA has been known for its excellence in educating children in a faith-filled environment. We write to you today with the hope that you will support us as we continue with this mission by contributing to our first Annual Fund. Our launching of the fund is in recognition of the fact that, in the current economic environment, we can no longer rely solely on tuition increases to advance the mission of the school – despite our prudent stewardship of resources. The Annual Fund helps to bridge the gap between the cost to educate an OLA student and the cost of tuition. It also allows us to encourage and recognize the loyalty and support of our parents, grandparents and alumni whose philanthropy allows us to maintain our momentum and trajectory.

During the past few year we purchased new laptops replacing aging faculty PCs,installed Smartboard technology in the kindergarten and launched the “Reading Street” reading series for grades 1-5. As innovative educators we take great pride in our ability to offer the children of OLA a superior educational experience within a nurturing environment rooted in the Catholic faith. We also strive to provide rich and meaningful spiritual experiences and service opportunities for OLA students so that they may develop generous hearts as children of God.The academic and professional achievements of our alumni are a testament to our success.

Your contribution to the Annual Fund will allow us to continue in this tradition while maintaining an affordable tuition for OLA families. Thank you in advance for your gift to our school. It is our hope that 100% of families will participate in the Annual Fund.

We would be remiss if we neglected to mention the many generous parent volunteers who, on a daily basis, staff our lunch program, serve as “room mothers” and monitor our parking lot during drop-off and pick-up. Still other parents contribute their talents by refurbishing our playground, installing new basketball hoop systems, coaching our cross-country track program, maintaining our technology infrastructure and installing new countertops in our kitchen. Please accept our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude for your commitment to OLA.

Enclosed, please find a pledge form for your tax-deductible contribution. Your donation to our Annual Fund is representative of the type of faithful support that has sustained and improved our school for fifty years. May God bless you for your generosity.

Your tax-deductible gift may be eligible for matching funds from your employer.
