Catholic Schools Week!

Catholic schools week is coming up the week of January 26 and we have a lot of exciting events planned!

Get Up and Move Spirit Day! Students may wear their spirit wear and gym uniforms and will also be tasting the rainbow at lunch!

Tuesday: Mass

Wednesday: Parent Open House
Please join us for a PTO sponsored coffee hour 7:45 AM till 9 AM to shop used uniforms and sit in on the Lynnfield Police K9 assembly. Open House from 9-11am.

Thursday: Student Assemblies with Magician David Hall and Channel 7 News Weatherman Chris Lambert!

Friday:  Spirit Day!
Students may wear their spirit wear or Patriots shirt with gym bottoms and will participate in Teacher vs Student Minute to Win it Competition! Can the students win 2 years in a row?!

OLA Has a New Nurse's Station

There is now a new Nurse's Station with REAL walls and reinforced fire rated door as you enter the Main Building of the school. Many thanks to Mr. Micieli for his prompt and hard work completed over the Christmas break.

OLA Second Grader Wins CSF Christmas Card Contest!

Second grader Katherine Marsella, winner of the Catholic Schools Christmas Card contest, was presented with a certificate and gift by Mike Reardon, Executive Director of CSF  and Principal James Grocki.
Katherine's card won for grades K-2 and will be used by the Catholic Schools Foundation for the Christmas season. Congratulations Katherine!

Members of OLA Class of 2012 Inducted into St Mary's High NHS!

Nine members of the OLA Class of 2012 were just inducted into the National Honor Society at St. Mary's High.
Just demonstrates yet again what a strong foundation OLA provides!

OLA Lynnfield Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society

Our Lady of the Assumption school held its first annual National Junior Honor Society Induction ceremony on May 14, 2014.  Twenty-four 7th and 8th grade students were inducted into the OLA Lynnfield Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society.  Selection for membership in the National Junior Honor Society is based on five virtues – Scholarship, Leadership, Service, Citizenship, and Character.  Our twenty-four inductees are:
Grade 7 – Payton Ditchfield, Emma Fringuelli, Rachel Galatis, Molly Geaney, Natalia Kanj, Payton O’Connor, Alexandra Robertson, and Samantha Szczesney
Grade 8 – Grace Couillard, Friederike DeGuglielmo, Devin DiBerto, Chloe Dunn, Nicholas Farina, Cara Favuzza, Isabella Gioia, Lauren Giordano, Caitlyn Leonard, John Leone, Chester MacAshill, Jennie Meagher, Devin Rich, Thomas Sparages, Sophia Struzziero, and Barbara Talagan

Financial Aid Applications for each school year need to be completed by May 10the for the following year. A committee meets mid-May to review applications. The link to financial aid application is https://www.factstuitionaid.com/facts/gaindex

Any family having difficulty meeting tuition payments, must communicate their needs to the finance office, the Principal and the Pastor. Please contact one of these people and arrange an appointment. We are happy to discuss special arrangements for meeting your financial obligation.

The new fire-rated safety doors have been installed in the cafeteria further improving our children's safety!  Thank you to all who participated in the Super Raffle and Spaghetti Dinner that we ran last October to earn the funds towards this project.  If you missed out last year, be sure to get in on the action this year!

Shriners Pull-Tab Donations

Troop 60686 would like to let you know that the Pull-Tab collection program for this school year has begun! Last year, our numbers were over 100 pounds of pull tabs, Shriners was overwhelmed with our donations. Let’s do it again this year!

OLA Recycle Fundraiser

Join the OLA Community and Terracycle to "upcycle" household items that are otherwise seen as trash!  Check out this flyer for more information on the brigades that OLA is participating in this year to earn cash.

Shop with Scrip and earn Tuition Credit

The Shop with Scrip program starts back up Monday, September 9th.  Orders are placed each Monday at 9:00 am for delivery of cards on Friday of the same week.  Tuition credit is calculated based on 50% of the rebate amount issued to the school by each vendor and issued for the following year.

Please consider using this program for your everyday purchases to support the school while reducing your overall expense.  For more details, visit the Shop with Scrip page of our website.

St. Mary's H.S. Announces New OLA Scholarship Program
