Congrats to the St. Mary's Baseball Team
St. Mary's Baseball Team won the State Championship in their division and they will be honoring them at St. Mary's Night at the Navigators game on Friday, August 7th at Fraser Field in Lynn. St. Mary's is reaching out to neighboring Catholic Schools to invite our students to attend the event at no cost. All grades are welcome and they just have to say that they are "OLA Students."

OLA Alum Awarded Scholarship
OLA alum, Adelina Koutzounas, recently was chosen as the sole recipient of The William Connell Service Award Scholarship. Addie was chosen among 14 student applicants based on her personal essay. Her essay included a wonderful closing paragraph about how OLA's mission statement helped shape her. Shown above is a picture of Addie and Head of School Grace Cotter Regan when she was awarded the scholarship.

OLA's 1000 Club
The 1000 Club Drawing is held the 3rd Sunday of each month following the 11 AM Mass in the Church Hall. The details are provided by clicking in the attached flyer. Proceeds are given to our school each year.

OLA Has a New Nurse's Station
There is now a new Nurse's Station with REAL walls and reinforced fire rated door as you enter the Main Building of the school. Many thanks to Mr. Micieli for his prompt and hard work completed over the Christmas break. See before and after pictures.

OLA Second Grader Wins CSF Christmas Card Contest!
Second grader Katherine Marsella, winner of the Catholic Schools Christmas Card contest, was presented with a certificate and gift by Mike Reardon, Executive Director of CSF and Principal James Grocki.
Katherine's card won for grades K-2 and will be used by the Catholic Schools Foundation for the Christmas season. Congratulations Katherine!

Nine members of the OLA Class of 2012 were just inducted into the National Honor Society at St. Mary's High.

OLA Lynnfield Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society
Our Lady of the Assumption school held its first annual National Junior Honor Society Induction ceremony on May 14, 2014. Twenty-four 7th and 8th grade students were inducted into the OLA Lynnfield Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society. Selection for membership in the National Junior Honor Society is based on five virtues – Scholarship, Leadership, Service, Citizenship, and Character. Our twenty-four inductees are:
Grade 7 – Payton Ditchfield, Emma Fringuelli, Rachel Galatis, Molly Geaney, Natalia Kanj, Payton O’Connor, Alexandra Robertson, and Samantha Szczesney

Financial Aid Applications for each school year need to be completed by May 10the for the following year. A committee meets mid-May to review applications. The link to financial aid application is https://www.factstuitionaid.com/facts/gaindex
Any family having difficulty meeting tuition payments, must communicate their needs to the finance office, the Principal and the Pastor. Please contact one of these people and arrange an appointment. We are happy to discuss special arrangements for meeting your financial obligation.

New Fire-rated Door Installed!
The new fire-rated safety doors have been installed in the cafeteria further improving our children's safety! Thank you to all who participated in the Super Raffle and Spaghetti Dinner that we ran last October to earn the funds towards this project. If you missed out last year, be sure to get in on the action this year!

Shriners Pull-Tab Donations
Troop 60686 would like to let you know that the Pull-Tab collection program for this school year has begun! Last year, our numbers were over 100 pounds of pull tabs, Shriners was overwhelmed with our donations. Let’s do it again this year!

Shop with Scrip and earn Tuition Credit
The Shop with Scrip program starts back up Monday, September 9th. Orders are placed each Monday at 9:00 am for delivery of cards on Friday of the same week. Tuition credit is calculated based on 50% of the rebate amount issued to the school by each vendor and issued for the following year.

St. Mary's H.S. Announces New OLA Scholarship Program
